Storyline:  Overlord (2015 ) A popular online game, Yggdrasil, is quietly shut down. A player in the game, Momonga, is the only one still in the game as it goes offline. To his surprise, he finds himself still present, with all the programming acting on its own. With nothing left to lose but everything to gain, he steps forward to become the emperor of his new home.

An online role-playing game takes on a reality of its own after its servers permanently shut down, trapping the only remaining logged-in player as his fearsome lich character who struggles to maintain the fragile balance between the world's races.
